Judgment
Why do people judge? Is it habit? Is it insecurity? Is it fear? Do they feel threatened bcuz others are what they are not?
Do you know what effect judgments have? Judgments add negativity to the world, encourage you to judge yourself, make you feel worse about yourself, possibly hurt the judged person's feelings and says so much about you and nothing about the person you feel qualified to judge.
Can you stop judging? Yes, you can but it takes constant awareness.
First be aware of your thoughts and put a filter on your words before they leave your mouth. Ask yourself, why am i saying this? Is it true? Who benefits from me saying this? What are my motivations for saying it? Next look for something kind you can say about the situation or the person in it and say that instead. Stop judging yourself. The more we have a habit of judging ourselves the easier it is to judge others. The last but most important thing to help you stop the judgment cycle is empathy (try and remember how it feels to be judged and try to give that person empathy not judgment).
Replacing judgment with love falls back to watching your thoughts. Begin feeding yourself a diet of love, love, love. Appreciate who you are and know that although you are not perfect you are perfectly imperfect and that is beautiful! The more you unconditionally love you, the better you become at loving others unconditionally. And the more we share love, the less time we have to judge!
